2020

"2018 was truly an interesting year. One where I realized that the possiblities were endless and I should go after a few. Thank you for supporting, reaching out and encouraging me.....This was a crazy year of starts, exploring and learning. And trust. Thank you to all! Truly."
The above was written at the end of 2018. And it still, after this year, means much more. This year forced me to slow down, focus on the now, that there are things out of my control but in everything, we kept the faith and we supported each other.
In the past two years, my little business, my dream started to happen. It's been a crazy, wild ride of navigating a pandemic, working entirely from home and moving everything online. I went from having a small presence in Edmonton to suddenly shipping globally with art going from coast to coast. I had encouragement, comments, support and shares globally this year and it truly means alot. I can't form into words how much it meant. We carefully navigated lack of employment, homeschooling and making sure my little one was ok. And with this small business, everything has been ok. And if packages showed up with art drawn on side or packaged a little funny, just know my 6 yr old was helping!
I also want to thank the numerous communities that surround me, especially the I AM Indigenous Collective of Edmonton, AB. This group of artists, makers and creators adapted under the circumstances, offered encouragement, support and were behind all the artisans. If you have a minute, please check them out on social media!
Over the next few weeks, I am working on relaunching my website, booking photoshoots, working on getting a newsletter started, photographing art and working on new art. (prints!) The projected date for new art/relaunch of website is January 15th (Maybe the 20th). I will be starting a newsletter this month and it will give more info and access to view art sooner. Thank you for your patience. I need a bit of break but things are moving slowly!
I am always open to suggestions, comments or if you just want to say hi, so I'd love to hear from you.
Thank you all and I am looking forward to this year.
As always, be safe, stay safe and I pray that we all stay healthy,
